About us
DeNPRU-QM’s team comes from Queen Mary University of London, University of Nottingham, East London NHS Foundation Trust, University of York, University of Liverpool, University of Exeter, and University College London.
We work with a range of organisations who focus on dementia and neurodegenerative diseases: Meri Yaadain, The Neurological Alliance, Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Research UK, Together in Dementia Everyday, Brighton Switchboard, and Dementia UK.
NIHR Policy Research Units (PRUs) are composed of experts and researchers who undertake policy research providing evidence to support national policy making in England through the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and its Arm’s Length Bodies (ALB).
The NIHR has awarded £100 million over five years to 20 PRUs across England that provide evidence to respond to new and emerging policy needs.
The NIHR funds, enables and delivers world-leading health and social care research that improves people’s health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth.
The NIHR Policy Research Unit in Dementia and Neurodegeneration (PRUs) is part of the NIHR and hosted by Queen Mary University of London.
